First Icy Poles!

Kason and Cohen had their first icy pole today...and they LOVED it!!! The reason: Kason stacked it when he was navigating the small step from inside to outside, and face-planted on the concrete. He grazed his lip and his cheek is beginning to bruise. Half of his face was swollen for several hours after his fall L He only cried for about a minute, and let me clean up the little bit of blood, but he wouldn't let me hold a cold cloth on it. The next best thing, I figured, was an icy pole. The boys halved it, and while they took a minute or so to figure out what to do with it, and that it actually tasted really good, there was no going back! Kason even cried when he finished his because he wanted more!

After his initial cry when he first fell, he was back to his usual happy self – it didn't seem to bother him at all which was good. Still looked painful though, and I've been putting arnica cream on his cheek this afternoon in the hope that it stops it from bruising.

Kase also decided this afternoon that the floor was dirty, so he was walking around wiping the floor with a paper towel...maybe I'll get him to do that after every meal they have!
